ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Monday dismissed an announcement made by the Afghan Foreign Ministry concerning the political climate in the nation, requesting that the Afghan Interim Government (AIG) concentrate on resolving its own internal issues rather than giving advice to a democratic nation.
A spokesman for Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the turmoil that resulted from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters marching towards the federal capital, stating that tension between the government and opposition party workers was building in Pakistan and could have detrimental effects on the entire region.
Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch called the statement made by the Afghanistan foreign ministry’s spokesperson “frivolous” and described it as “unacceptable” and “deplorable” meddling in Pakistan’s internal affairs.
