Defense Minister Khawaja Asif rejected discussions on establishing governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) during a conversation outside Parliament House.
The defense minister described the talks as erroneous and emphasized that the chief minister has the authority to meet foreign dignitaries, such as consul generals, and that it is customary for CMs from different provinces to meet ambassadors.
Asif issued a warning, stating that the KP Chief Minister would be in breach of his authority if he conducted autonomous acts against federal rules. Speaking to political committees, he also chastised PTI, stating, “They did the same thing in Parliament, and I reminded them to reflect on their four years of governance.”
