The seven-month-old grandson of Syed Ajbar Hussain had a serious chest infection earlier this month. According to The News, Hussain and the child’s father hurried the infant to a nearby hospital in Parachinar, which is situated in Kurram, a tribal district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, in order to seek immediate medical attention.
But they couldn’t get the attention they really needed. Hussain told The News, “We couldn’t find the medicines or even the injections we needed anywhere.” “Not even Panadol to reduce his fever.”
The child’s chest illness swiftly turned into pneumonia if the required medication was not taken. The baby was dead on December 11.
When Hussain remembers the death of his grandchild, whom he had named Syed Rohan Shah, he sobs hysterically.
