Recently, a video of three teenage girls brutally abusing a salesman inside a store in Garden Town, Lahore, went viral.
After the ladies reported that the salesman was making fun of them and harassing them, the police filed a complaint against him.
But the police later let the salesman go, and on Tuesday they filed a case of torture against the three females for attacking him.
Two days ago, a CCTV clip showed the girls standing at the cash register of a tuck shop, clutching coffee mugs. A young salesman was seated at the counter, and the girls were arguing fiercely with him before going inside the shop.
The salesman was shown on CCTV being smacked around by one girl who grabbed his neck, while other others tormented him by pulling on his hair. In addition, they mistreated two more salespeople until an elderly customer intervened.
Police sources say that following the recording of the boy’s and girls’ comments, a new investigation into the crime has been launched.
