Mahmoud Abbas, the president of Palestine, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in New York. Both presidents reaffirmed their commitment to the creation of a Palestinian state and stressed the critical necessity for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during their talks.
The moment has come for us all to unite and demand the establishment of the State of Palestine and an immediate ceasefire, as without these things, peace will not return to this region of the world. After a discussion, the prime minister and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas told the media, “If this is allowed to linger on, then God forbid, things will become very very tense.”
