There are reports of hospital equipment valued at hundreds of millions of rupees being taken from Punjab’s largest hospital.
During the restoration process, the majority of the equipment that was taken out of the Mayo Hospital Lahore buildings vanished.
The chief executive has received a letter from the assistant medical superintendent of the hospital requesting that the PEEDA Act be followed.
The AMS claims in the letter that pricey air conditioning systems were taken during the renovations, and that lists of lights, refrigerators containing medication, and fans were also omitted.
The letter also stated that patient beds, medication trolleys, chairs, benches, and pipes intended for oxygen supply to patients were reported missing.
