Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, an Independent Senator and former caretaker prime minister, referred to the fight against terrorism as a “national war” while the nation is still in mourning over the precious lives lost in recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan. He emphasized that the intelligence and security services of the nation are not fighting this war alone.
Speaking on the recent violence in Balochistan, Senator Kakar stated during Tuesday’s Senate session that “this is a national war and not an isolated fight of the Frontier Corps, Pakistan Army, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence (MI), and Intelligence Bureau (IB).”
Following recent terrorist attacks in the nation’s largest province that resulted in the deaths of over two dozen individuals, including security officials, the congressman made these remarks.
