Mr. Musk is suing the business he co-founded, claiming it has turned its back on its initial goal of assisting humanity.
Instead, he claims, it is concentrated on making money for Microsoft, a significant investor and partner.
However, according to OpenAI, Mr. Musk has previously supported the notion of a for-profit organization and had even proposed a combination with his automaker, Tesla.
Before departing the firm in 2018, OpenAI alleges in a blog post on its website that Mr. Musk formerly desired “absolute control” over it.
It states that it plans to attempt to have the claims in Mr. Musk’s most recent lawsuit dismissed.
