Following the horrific wildfires in Los Angeles, the Oscars have announced its nominees.
Emilia Perez is now the most nominated film in Academy Awards history, having received nominations in 13 different categories.
All of the main categories, including Best Picture and Directing, have nominated it.
For their roles in the murder thriller, Zoe Saldaña may win the Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, and Emilia Perez star Karla Sofía Gascon has been nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
It’s also important to note that Selena Gomez, who had a lot of Oscar buzz for her portrayal, was passed over for the consideration in the Best Actress in a Supporting portrayal category in favor of the Avatar actress.
