Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE, has advised Pakistani nationals living there to conduct financial transactions and remittances through proper channels. This appeal, which was delivered at the opening of the KuickPay online payment system, intends to boost Pakistan’s economy and advance transparency.
With more than 1.7 million Pakistanis making significant financial contributions to the UAE, Pakistan receives a significant amount of remittances from the UAE.
According to recent data, remittances from workers increased by 3.5% between July and April of this year. This growth was mostly due to the global economic recovery with the US, UK, and EU performing well in important remittance corridors.
At $3.7 billion, the UAE now contributes the second-highest amount of remittances to Pakistan, after Saudi Arabia ($5.1 billion).
