MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Thursday that he had no requirements for initiating discussions with the Ukrainian government and was prepared to make concessions about Ukraine in any potential negotiations with US President-elect Donald Trump on ending the war.
Putin told a reporter for a US news station that he was prepared to see Trump, whom he said he had not spoken to in years, while answering questions on state television during his yearly Q&A session with Russians.
Putin rejected a claim that Russia was in a vulnerable position when asked what he could offer Trump, claiming that Moscow had become much more powerful since he sent soldiers into Ukraine in 2022.
