The National Bank filed a review petition with the Supreme Court challenging the pension payment decision.
However, the Supreme Court denied the review appeal after a six-year term, affirming the decision to grant the employees’ pensions.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah conducted the hearing.
The Supreme Court maintained its verdict, ordering the National Bank to pay pension benefits to its 11,500 employees.
According to the verdict, the NBP is slated to pay its retired staff in one month.
