On November 4, a two-judge panel made up of Justices Salahuddin Panhwar and Adnan-Ul-Karim Memon also sent notifications to the home secretary, prosecutor general, advocate general, and inspector general of police (IGP).
On October 16, petitioner Wazeer Ahmed moved the SHC and claimed that police and plainclothes officers had picked up his brother Qambar Ali and seven other students from their shared Gulistan-i-Jauhar residence: Shoaib Ali, Haneef, Ishfaq, Shahzad, Bebarg Ameer, Zubair, and Saeedullah.
Citing as respondents the home secretary, the IGP, DIG-East, SSP-East, and SHO of the Aziz Bhatti police station.
