The Bayesian superyacht sank last month, killing seven people in total. Jonathan Bloomer, his wife Judy Bloomer, Chris Morvillo, and his wife Neda Morvillo were four of the victims.
Recaldo Thomas, the yacht’s chef, and Mr. Lynch’s daughter Hannah Lynch, age 18, also passed away.
According to La Repubblica, Mr. and Mrs. Bloomer perished as oxygen ran out as the boat went down, not drowning.
It was reported that no water was discovered in their lungs during their post-mortems, nor that of Mr. Morvillo and his wife, indicating that they may have perished as a result of carbon dioxide buildup in their cabins and an oxygen shortage.
Investigators suspect that because the remains were discovered by divers on the left side of the cabins, they were looking for the last pockets of air before the ship tipped over to the right after it sank.
According to La Repubblica, none of the four victims who have been evaluated thus far show any symptoms of injury.
Along with fourteen other persons, Angela Bacares, the wife of Mr. Lynch, escaped the disaster.
