At least 19 people have been killed in northern Gaza by an Israeli airstrike that occurred overnight, according to the Hamas-run Civil Defense organization and medical personnel.
A three-story home next to Kamal Adwan hospital in the town of Beit Lahia was struck by multiple missiles, Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal informed a news agency.
According to him, dozens of individuals lived there, and many more were still buried beneath the debris. Nine children were among the fatalities, according to Palestinian media.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) disputed the stated death toll but acknowledged that it had carried out an attack on a Hamas “terrorist” near Kamal Adwan.
A preliminary analysis indicates that the number of strike-related fatalities reported in the media is erroneous.
