Following the passing of a teacher who brought attention to incurable secondary breast cancer, tributes have been given.
At the age of 39, Kate Rackham received a diagnosis of oestrogen-receptive breast cancer.
The Manchester-based educator, who used the X platform to share daily updates with her 17,000 followers, was instrumental in founding the Fighting to be Heard charity, which aims to increase awareness of the illness and offer assistance to individuals who suffer from it.
The 46-year-old said, “If you’re reading this, it means I have died,” in a message on his account on Thursday. Don’t weep for me, though. I have gone about my life as I have seen fit, according to my own terms.

She announced in her post that she had signed up for the social media site in her post.
“In recent months we reconnected and she was incredibly empathic and supportive of my terminal diagnosis as she handled her own,” wrote former journalist Beccy Barr in a tribute to her friend who went to the same school and was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer. What a lovely gal.
After learning that her 23-year-old daughter Laura had succumbed to brain cancer while fulfilling a lifelong dream, Nicola Nuttall said on social media that she was “heartbroken that we’ve lost this truly incredible woman.”
