The Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) has raised the cost of fast route bus fares by Rs35, making them Rs55 instead of Rs20.
The operator of the Peshawar BRT, TransPeshawar, stated in a statement on Tuesday that the decision to raise tickets was made to enhance convenience for long-haul passengers.
A representative for the bus company claims that while express lines are meant to help long-distance travelers, people making two or three stops are also using them, which takes up space.
The ER-09, ER-10, ER-12, and ER-16 are the flat roads. The revised prices would be applicable as of Thursday, October 3.
With the addition of more buses, the Peshawar BRT brought back University Express service on the ER-09 route last month.
