While searching among the debris of a tourist boat that drowned in the Red Sea, an Egyptian diver has reported finding his own nephew among the passengers who were trapped but still alive.
On Tuesday, rescuers discovered four bodies and five survivors on the ship. Seven people are still unaccounted for as of the third day of the hunt.
According to Mr. Khattab al-Faramawy, “the survivors were trapped inside the boat cabins—we dived 12 m (40 ft) under water.”
They had been on the boat for more than twenty-four hours since Monday, when a big wave sank it close to Marsa Alam, off the eastern coast of Egypt.
Mr. al-Faramawy explained the difficulties in looking for passengers on the flooded four-deck boat.
