Dublin Airport reported that turbulence over Turkey injured six passengers and six staff members on a Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Dublin.
Eight passengers were sent to a hospital after the airport claimed in a subsequent statement that all passengers were checked for injuries before stepping off the aircraft.
A representative for Dublin Airport operator DAA, Graeme McQueen, told Sky News that emergency personnel were waiting for the aircraft when it touched down on Sunday just before 1pm.
Qatar Airlines described the injuries reported by both passengers and staff as “minor.”
It stated: “[They] are currently getting medical care… Our first concern is the security and safety of our crew and passengers.”
