RAWALPINDI: PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stated on Monday that Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, has given the federal government a seven-day ultimatum to establish a judicial commission on May 9 and November 26 incidents in order to continue the present dialogue process.
Gohar urged the government not to force ongoing negotiations into a delay during a press conference held today outside of Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
He was alluding to the remarks made two days ago by Senator Irfan Siddiqui, the government’s negotiation committee spokesperson, who expressed disapproval of the former ruling party’s meeting with the top military leadership, stating: “Negotiations cannot be conducted simultaneously through multiple channels.”
