In Tuesday’s interbank trading, the rupee lost 10 paise versus the US dollar, finishing at Rs277.95 as opposed to Rs277.85 the day before.
The Forex Association of Pakistan reports that the open market dollar buying and selling rates were Rs277.40 and Rs278.90, respectively.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the price of the euro rose by Rs1.16 to settle at Rs294.17, up from Rs293.01 the previous day.
The value of the British pound increased by Rs1.59 to conclude at Rs352.17 from the previous day’s closing of Rs350.58, while the Japanese yen stayed steady and closed at Rs1.79.
The Saudi Riyal and the Emirates Dirham saw a threefold surge in exchange rates.
