Following therapy for his enlarged prostate, Buckingham Palace declared that King Charles had been released from the hospital.
The palace announced in a statement that the monarch has returned home and postponed public appearances till his condition improves.
The statement read, “The King has canceled upcoming public engagements to allow him a period of quiet rehabilitation. He was discharged from the hospital this afternoon after receiving planned medical treatment.
The palace further stated, “His Majesty is grateful for all the kind messages he has received in recent days, and would like to thank the medical team and all those involved in supporting his hospital visit.”
Thirteen days prior, Charles was hospitalized to The London Clinic, the same facility where his daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, had a “planned abdominal surgery.”
Kate, the Princess of Wales, also went back to Windsor, where she will continue to recuperate, a few hours before the King was released.
“The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery,” a statement from Kensington Palace stated. She is progressing well.
“The Wales family is still appreciative of all the goodwill they have received from people all over the world,” they continued.
