There’s a lot of excitement in Hollywood around the impending reunion between Michael B. Jordan and writer-director Ryan Coogler on “a secret movie.”
The Hollywood Reporter claims that Ryan is both the writer and director of the untitled film, which stars the 36-year-old actor who is presently under investigation for a car accident in Hollywood.
The publication underlined the project’s secrecy by stating that potential purchasers had to fly to William Morris Endeavor’s (WME) Beverly Hills offices in order to study the script.
Additionally, Ryan will produce the new project via Proximity Media, the company he co-founded in 2021 alongside Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian.
Not much is known about the project other than its “genre” components, which might be anything from fantasy to horror to sci-fi, and the reports that it also has a period component.
After the initial meetings to study the script, Ryan met with interested parties last week to pitch his vision to those who remained interested.
The director reportedly intends to meet potential buyers in order to ask for a production commitment.
