Residents of Murree and Galyat have been advised by the authorities to be ready for potential landslides as there is a high likelihood of thunder and lightning.
DGPDMA Irfan Ali Kathia has ordered officials to be on high alert around-the-clock, placing the district administration on high alert. The PDMA has issued warnings to the public to stay updated on weather conditions and to stay indoors during thunderstorms.
The warning from the government coincides with the likelihood of severe rains threatening lives and property in Upper Punjab. The district administration has been instructed to take action by the PDMA, which has guaranteed that it is ready to handle any emergency.
When it’s raining, the authorities have asked people to stay indoors and stay out of public areas.
However, tragedy occurred in Khushab when lightning killed two brothers, which prompted the DG PDMA to send the sad family sympathies and financial support.
