Security sources have made it clear that the administration in authority at the time, not the military, conducted talks with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
They highlighted that the army continues to follow government orders and is a state entity.
The security agencies questioned the purpose of holding negotiations with the people who killed innocent Pakistanis in a statement. Regarding Faiz Hameed’s ongoing court-martial procedures, representatives affirmed that all pertinent evidence is being reviewed.
The security authorities declared, “Whatever Faiz Hameed did, he did at the behest of the then political regime.”
They further emphasized that Hameed, who considered himself to be above the system and intimately associated with, was trying to exploit the military for political ends.
