BIRMINGHAM: According to young Pakistani squash sensation Sohail Adnan, it’s past time for Pakistan’s government and sports authorities to give squash more attention than cricket.
This was stated by 12-year-old Adnan in an interview with Geo News. After eighteen years, he became the first squash player from Pakistan to win the gold medal in the Under-13 division of the Junior Open squash championship. He is from Bahawalpur.
At the University of Birmingham’s sports center, he defeated Moiz Tamir Al-Mughazi, the top seed from Egypt, in an exciting five-game final.
Shortly after winning the gold medal at the championship, Adnan told Geo News that while he was thrilled with his accomplishment.
