In response to claims of anomalies in the MDCAT exam, the Sindh High Court has ruled that the release of the merit list for admission to medical colleges must stop.
The court made it quite plain that no school could move further with the admissions procedure until the issue had been thoroughly looked into.
A committee to look into the claims was approved by the court during the hearing of a lawsuit involving anomalies in MDCAT for medical admissions. The group was to be formed by the chief secretary and the health secretary of Sindh. The committee will be able to evaluate any criminal and/or civil liabilities related to the purported irregularities and has been given a deadline of 15 days to conclude its inquiry.
The committee is also authorized to request support from pertinent organizations.
