In April 2022, Jools Sweeney’s body was discovered. His mother, Ellen Roome, says a coroner was unable to determine that he committed suicide because they could not establish that he was in a “suicidal mood” at the time of his death.
Ms. Roome claims he had no symptoms of depression, and the police have ruled out any influence from outside parties.
She claims that as a result, she is left with “absolutely no idea why he isn’t here anymore”.
After reading about other kids who committed suicide after accessing offensive material online, Ms. Roome contacted a number of social media platforms to request her son’s surfing data.
