In order to foster trade between the two nations, Pakistan’s Taftan and Gabd border crossings with Iran would remain open around-the-clock, according to a statement made on Friday by Pakistan’s ambassador to Iran, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu.
The ambassador hailed it as a significant advancement, stating that it should significantly boost the flow of commodities between the two nations and, as a result, expand economic opportunities.

Following the three-day visit of then-President of Iran, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, to Pakistan, the United States hinted at possible penalties; nonetheless, Pakistan and Iran on April 24 reaffirmed the importance of energy cooperation and power commerce.
“Pathway of prosperity”
Both nations have agreed to transform their shared border from a “border of peace” to a “border of prosperity.” They have also emphasized the significance of working together on energy-related projects, such as the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project, power transmission lines, and electricity trading.
Both Pakistan and Iran stressed the need for a cooperative regional economic and connectivity model and long-term, sustainable economic collaboration during Raisi’s visit, especially for the socioeconomic development of Pakistan’s Balochistan province and Iran’s Sistan-Balochistan.
Hours after the Iranian president of state left Karachi for Tehran, the Foreign Office made this declaration in a 28-point joint statement.
The parties discussed regional and international issues and went over the whole range of bilateral ties between Pakistan and Iran.
