On Thursday, PM’s political affairs advisor Rana Sanaullah announced that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had established a committee with representatives from all ruling parties to examine requests made by the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Sanaullah spoke during a press conference in Islamabad to inform the public about a meeting between the PTI and the government’s negotiating committees, flanked by Senator Irfan Siddiqui, the head of the government’s negotiation committee.
The PTI finally put its demands in writing earlier today, calling for the release of “political prisoners” and investigations into the events of May 9, 2023, and November 26, 2024.
According to the PTI’s “Charter of Demands,” which is accessible through news, the party will disband if the government does not establish two independent commissions to investigate the violent incidents.
