PESHAWAR: Sources say that a heated debate between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur during a high-level meeting in Peshawar, which was attended by Army Chief General Asim Munir, sparked tensions.
According to the sources, the conflict started when the governor brought up the Rs500 billion allotment from the National Finance Commission’s (NFC) decision, as reported by Geo News on Thursday.
According to the sources, the governor charged that the chief minister had made false claims. The provincial chief executive responded by claiming that the governor was lying and leaving the meeting.
Amid the tension, Asfandyar Wali, the leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), reportedly said, “Let it go, this one is just a child.”
