Reports suggest that the earthquake was felt in Peshawar, Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Malakand, among other areas in KP. Furthermore, reports of the earthquakes came from Charsadda, Mansehra, Khyber, Buner, and Mardan.
The fact that people in Mohmand, Upper Dir, and Lower Dir could also feel the vibrations added to the earthquake’s overall impact throughout the region.
The Pakistan-Afghanistan border region served as the earthquake’s epicentre, with a depth of 86 kilometers, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad of the Met Department. The earthquake’s strength was registered at 5.3 on the Richter Scale.
Authorities are warning locals to be watchful and take the appropriate precautions in the wake of the earthquake, even though there have been no early reports of damage or injuries.
