An attempt to carry foreign currency worth $17,922 to Dubai was thwarted by customs officials at Jinnah International Airport.
When Moster Uddin, the passenger, was searched prior to takeoff, currency from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India was discovered on him.
Customs authorities claimed that the most concerning discovery was the enormous amount of Indian cash, which is thought to be fraudulent.
When the passenger’s bag was investigated, authorities allegedly discovered thirty bundles of 500-rupee Indian notes hidden in the bottom layer. It’s not yet known how much of this money is genuinely counterfeit.
The authorities also found 45,660 Pakistani rupees and 16,728 Bangladeshi taka in the accused’s pocket in addition to the Indian money.
