James Norton just came clean about declining a part because he didn’t want to be stereotyped.
In an interview with The Mirror, the 39-year-old actor explained why he chose not to play the antagonist in his upcoming miniseries, Playing Nice.
Norton continued by saying, “You do a Second World War drama.” Norton is rumored to be the next James Bond, following Daniel Craig.
“And for however long you have an emotional connection with that particular piece of history, you get to go and be a historian in the British Library,” he continued.
According to Norton, if one does it very well, he will have several additional offers for upcoming Second World War productions.
