ISLAMABAD: As the military once again blamed the Imran Khan-founded party for the rise in terrorism in the nation, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stalwart Omar Ayub claimed that former army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa was the one who pushed for negotiations with the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), stated on Friday that the nation’s security forces were “paying in blood” for the 2021 decisions made by the PTI-led administration, particularly engaging in talks with the terrorist group.
According to the military spokeswoman, these actions made it possible for the TTP—which the army has dubbed Fitna Al Khawarij—to reintegrate.
