According to local sources, Russian shelling in the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia has resulted in at least 13 fatalities and 32 injuries.
According to regional leader Ivan Fedorov, “the Russians cynically attacked the city in the middle of the day,” and two guided aerial bombs struck residential buildings.
Videos of several burning cars and one burning high-rise structure have surfaced.
Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, urged partners to hold Russia accountable “for its terror.” There has been no response from the Russian military. In February 2022, President Vladimir Putin began a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Fedorov said the Russian bombardment started Wednesday at around 16:00 local time (14:00 GMT) in a video message from outside the destroyed site.
