Imran Khan, the imprisoned former prime minister, has threatened to take his charges to the “international level” if the local courts failed to provide him with any legal advantage.
After a meeting in Adiala Jail on Friday, Aleem, his sister, cited Imran Khan as saying, “Imran Khan has stated that there are no remaining options for his party and it will take its legal cases to the international level.”
For over a year, the PTI founder has been incarcerated. In May 2023, Khan was detained in connection with a graft investigation. He was later implicated in a number of crimes involving riots, May 9, and corruption. However, he has refuted every accusation.
When a judge cleared him and his wife in July 2024, there was a good likelihood that he would be released.
