On the directives of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport has been added to the historic “Road to Makkah” project, which is a significant development for pilgrims traveling to Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to attend the Hajj, sources said on Friday.
To make the pilgrims’ travel to Hajj as hassle-free as possible, extra services will be made available at the Karachi airport as part of the “Road to Makkah” project.
The goal of this program is to expedite the immigration process for pilgrims leaving Karachi rather than having them finish it in Saudi Arabia.
The last steps of planning are being completed for the project at the airport in Karachi. After it is put into effect, pilgrims would not have to travel through the immigration process at the Saudi airports in Madina and Jeddah.
