Sharon Stone discussed why she left acting to pursue painting.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, the former acting sensation discussed her career change after establishing herself as a Hollywood actor for several years.
When asked about her passion of art, the actress stated, “Painting was just another language I grew up knowing, like if you grow up in a musical family.”
She went on to say, “I didn’t get the impression I was going to be able to survive as a painter.”
“I was offered modeling jobs for $5,000 per day. So I was thinking, “25 dollars or $5,000?” Sharon responded.
When asked about Johnny Depp’s artwork, she said, “Johnny Depp is printing pictures of people, putting some paint over it, signing it, and making a fortune.”
She went on to remark that after pursuing her genuine passion, “I’ve had galleries approach me and say, ‘Could you please make prints of your face?”
