The department’s news release stated that the unique webpage will assist in “facilitating the bidding process” and that the money “raised will go towards building houses for flood victims in Sindh.”
The department hosted its first premium number plate auction in July, when 40 number plates were up for bid. The provincial government received a total of Rs675.4 million from the sale of these number plates.
Senior Minister of Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon said today that a “major fundraising event” will take place in Karachi on October 12.
According to the statement, Memon also underlined the necessity of “severe action against officers who neglect their duties in the fight against drugs,” emphasizing the need for the anti-drug police to mobilize more resources for a coordinated campaign.
