Citing personal reasons, Mohammad Yousuf has resigned from his role as a member of the selection committee for the Pakistan cricket team.
Yousaf thanked Twitter (previously known as X) in a statement for giving him the chance to serve Pakistan cricket.
Former Pakistani batsman Yousaf, who saw great success in his career, expressed his pride at having played for his country and his belief in the skill and commitment of the present players. He wished them luck on all of their future undertakings. He also gave thanks to the other selectors.
The tenure of Yousuf on the selection committee, which commenced in July of this year, was not without of criticism.
He was a member of the selection committee that picked Pakistan’s squad for the recent T20 World Cup, where they were eliminated in the opening round.
