At Queens Sports Club on Sunday, Zimbabwe won the first one-day international (ODI) of the three-match series against Pakistan by 80 runs using the Duckworth-Lewis (DLS) method.
After being cleaned out by the Green Shirts in 40.2 overs, the hosts had scored 206 runs overall.
Pakistan lost wickets quickly after starting their pursuit, reaching 60/6 in the 21st over of the second innings.
Rain caused the game to be halted and eventually called off, giving Zimbabwe a 1-0 lead in the ODI series.
Pakistan had previously offered Zimbabwe to bat first after winning the toss.
Salman Ali Agha, the vice captain, and Faisal Akram, the debutant, were the national team’s spinners, and they ruined Zimbabwe’s batting order for a low score.
