After Albania’s defeat by Spain on Monday night in the European football competition, Gareth Southgate’s team is assured a spot in the round of sixteen.
The whole music schedule on the festival’s main stages, with headliners Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA, will begin on Friday and go through Sunday night when Glastonbury opens to the public tomorrow.
“In previous years, we have endeavoured to show notable matches on big screens where possible, particularly on days before the main stages have opened,” the festival organizers stated in a statement released prior to Scotland’s elimination.
However, as in 2014 and 2016, should England or Scotland qualify from their groups, their final 16 matches will not be screened during the festival due to the possibility that they would conflict with headlining acts at this year’s festival.”
“We would like to wish both Gareth Southgate and Steve Clarke’s sides the best in Germany,” the organizers continued. And in the days after this year’s event, we hope that everyone will be able to witness them compete in quarterfinal matches.”
