After taking a few months off from social media, the 33-year-old TV actress—best known for her role as Rosie Webster on Coronation Street—shared the news on Instagram.
She claimed to have been left “emotionally struggling” following her divorce from football player Scott Sinclair, with whom she had three children: two-year-old Charlie, seven-year-old Matilda, and five-year-old Delilah.
She also gave an explanation for why she had to cancel the Cluedo 2 theater tour, which had started last month: a negative reaction to the medicine she was taking for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Flanagan’s withdrawal from the show for “medical reasons” was disclosed at the time.
“Had a few months off from social, but I’m back now,” she tweeted beside a selfie of herself giving the peace sign.
“throughout summary, I had a lot of mental health issues throughout December and January. I didn’t really feel any better after Christmas, and when I took the kids away for the new year, I didn’t feel all that much better either.
