Bushra Bibi, the wife of Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), reaffirmed Thursday that her husband will not seek retribution after being released from prison.
Bushra Bibi underlined that the PTI leadership has never promoted violence and would continue to support nonviolent political expression in a video message directed at PTI employees.
Bushra Bibi declared, “No one can be stopped from a peaceful protest,” claiming that the PTI has always followed the law when it comes to voicing its political opinions. “We have never and will continue to take the law into our own hands.”
Concerns about retaliation against political rivals, including her husband Imran Khan, were also addressed by Bushra Bibi.
