The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) said on Friday that the New Gwadar International Airport will be open by the end of this month.
The authority’s representative acknowledged that final preparations are being made for the airport’s functioning.
Zeeshan Saeed, the acting director general of PAA, and Sadiq Rehman, the deputy director general of airports, recently paid a visit to the airport.
Faizullah Khattak, the project director, gave the officials an update on the facility’s operational readiness.
The project team also informed airport stakeholders about the project’s associated economic zones and business potential during the visit.
The acting DG was pleased with how the preparations were going.
Built with contemporary amenities, the state-of-the-art airport cost $246 million, including a Chinese donation. Outfitted with a spacious runway.
