As the flight from Jeddah to Islamabad landed in Lahore, passengers traveling with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif encountered issues, according to The News on Wednesday.
The News was informed by the sources that not only was the landing city altered, but hundreds of punctual passengers had to wait for the official delegation lead by the PM for two hours during their two-day visit to Saudi Arabia.
The PM-led group left the aircraft, but the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight remained on the ground at the Lahore Airport for at least two hours, according to passengers on board.
On April 6, the 72-year-old PM began a two-day visit to the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Both nations discussed issues of mutual interest and bilateral relations, including two-way trade and investment, during the visit.
Saudi Arabia reaffirmed after their meeting that they would expedite the first part of their $5 billion investment in Pakistan, according to a joint statement.
