All-rounder Imad Wasim announced his retirement from international cricket on Friday, but he promised to continue playing regional and franchise cricket.
Wasim wrote in a statement to his supporters and admirers that while donning the green jersey had left an impression on him, he had made the decision to retire after much thought.
“I have made the decision to retire from international cricket after giving it some serious contemplation. Wearing the green jersey has been an unforgettable experience, and representing Pakistan on the international scene has been the biggest honor of my life,” he wrote in a post on X.
“Your enthusiasm, love, and unfailing support have always been my greatest assets. Your support has motivated me to do my best for our dear nation through all the highs and lows.
