Hannah Kobayashi, a Hawaii native, went missing two weeks ago on November 8 when she failed to board a flight to New York City during a layover at Los Angeles International Airport.
Ryan Kobayashi, her father, went to Los Angeles to look for her and was discovered dead on Sunday.
According to the LAPD, Ryan Kobayashi’s body was discovered on West Century Boulevard at an address close to the airport on Sunday at around four in the morning. He committed suicide, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office.
According to the Kobayashi family, the “devastating tragedy” just makes their suffering worse.
Following 13 days of ceaseless searching across Los Angeles, Ryan Kobayashi, Hannah’s father, sadly committed suicide.
