A heatwave is expected to swelter most of Pakistan, primarily Sindh and Punjab, during the next ten days as the summer season tightens its hold on the nation, according to a Saturday report from Geo News.
According to a private weather predicting organization, the present heatwave will impact the plains of Sindh and Punjab, with a potential 5–7 degree Celsius temperature increase.
In the next 10 days, the agency predicted that the temperature in the aforementioned places would rise to 49°C or 51°C, shattering the record for the highest temperature ever.
In the meantime, amid the intense heatwave, the temperature in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and the neighboring areas may soar as high as 40°C to 43°C.
